Franz Siren is a Reading-based house DJ and producer focused on cutting-edge sounds built for the dancefloor.

With roots in radio and club culture stretching back to the early 90s, Franz’s career began with a weekly show on Freeze FM and regular bookings at Garage Fever. He later hosted and promoted his own club night, HUSH, in Berkshire, which ran for several years.

In the 2000s, Franz moved into soulful, funky and Latin house, co-hosting and promoting Filthy Beats, a monthly club night in Old Street, London.

During the Covid lockdowns, Franz moved into music production, releasing two 140/deep dubstep albums independently alongside a catalogue of EPs and singles. His sound has since evolved towards house, with releases across multiple independent labels and tracks featured by BBC Introducing.

Today, Franz holds a weekly Friday residency at Purple Turtle in Reading, alongside monthly residencies at Magoo’s Bar in Henley and Angel Bar in Caversham. He also runs Ruff House Radio, an independent online station showcasing house music and emerging and established DJs, where he hosts a weekly show. Under the Ruff House banner, he also hosts and promotes events including Off The Hook.

His focus is firmly on the dancefloor, playing current, cutting-edge house generally around 128–132 BPM while continuing to develop his DJ career, music production and Ruff House Radio.
